Stingray Adopts Innovative Approach to Delivering Integrated Seismic PRM

Stingray Geophysical Limited has adopted an innovative approach to providing integrated Seismic Permanent Reservoir Monitoring (PRM) services to oil companies.  In addition to maintaining a core team of experts with an extensive range of skills, Stingray is able to draw upon its network of trusted partners worldwide to assemble purpose-built teams with the key competences required to meet the specific challenges of each project and deliver complete customer solutions.

Stingray’s flexible business model was successfully applied to the execution of two recent Seismic PRM Feasibility studies.

Guildford, UK – 27 November 2009

Stingray Geophysical Limited was named winner of the Measurement in Action Innovation Award at the Institution of Engineering and Technology’s (IET) Innovation Awards 2009 dinner at Lord’s Cricket Ground in London on 25th November. Stingray was also a finalist in the Emerging Technologies and Power/Energy categories.

Stingray Awarded “Life of Field Seismic” Feasibility Studies by BP
Guildford, UK - 10 November 2009

Stingray Geophysical has been contracted by BP to conduct two Life of Field Seismic (LoFS) feasibility studies. The studies will identify the requirements for an integrated approach to LoFS or Permanent Reservoir Monitoring (PRM) on the Clair and Schiehallion fields, operated by BP in the UK North Sea.

Salvador 2009, Brazil Prize Draw Winners Announced
Guildford, UK - 11 September, 2009

Following its successful participation at the Salvador 2009 Conference and Exhibition, the Eleventh International Congress of the Brazilian Geophysical Society in August 2009, Stingray is pleased to announce the winners of its Prize Draw. Both student members of the SBGf, the antique map of South Amercia and Sony Cybershot digital camera were awarded to Eloisa Britto of UFBA and Felipe Stefan Sita of Unipampa respectively following a live draw on the Stingray stand. Stingray announces Successful Results from Fosar Sea Trials
Guildford, UK - 5 June 2009

Stingray Geophysical Limited has announced the delivery of successful results from its analysis of data recorded during the final sea trial in the programme to commercialise its Fosar® permanent reservoir monitoring (seismic PRM) system. In addition to demonstrating the excellent geophysical response characteristics of the Fosar system, efficient installation was confirmed.

"Listening with Light" Proves Fosar Future Shines Bright
Guildford, UK - 12 May 2009

Stingray Geophysical Limited has announced the successful completion of the 30-month “Listening with Light®” stage-gate development project to commercialise its unique fibre-optic sensing technology for Permanent Seismic Reservoir Monitoring. 

With the support of funding from the Technology Strategy Board and carried out jointly with manufacturing partner, Atlas Elektronik UK Limited, the qualification test programme culminated in the successful demonstration of Stingray’s Fosar® system to oil companies in offshore Norway sea trials at the end of 2008.
