| Stingray Geophysical announces continued customer support for a Joint Industry Project to commercialise Stingray’s Fosar solution for fibre-optic reservoir monitoring.
The agreement, announced at the European Association of Geoscientist and Engineers (EAGE) Annual Conference in Rome, is recognition of Stingray’s leading role in developing fibre-optic reservoir monitoring solutions. Welcoming the participation Martin Bett, CEO, Stingray Geophysical Limited said, “We are delighted that four major oil and gas companies are continuing to support our programme and business”.
Stingray will be conducting a deepwater field test during the second half of 2008 jointly with their installation and acquisition partner, Bergen Oilfield Services.
Giles Watts of BP, one of the JIP partners, said "BP are leaders in the field of permanent seismic monitoring and we are delighted to be sponsoring Stingray in the development of fibre-optic solutions for the industry. We believe this new technology has the potential to provide lighter, cheaper solutions for use in both shallow and deeper water developments". |
