Magne Sveen - Chairman
Magne Sveen has held several leadership roles in Schlumberger, Geoquest, Geco, and is a former Vice President of Schlumberger Oil Field Services.
He is founder and co-owner of EnP-Consulting, Chairman of Wellco Oil, Cubility, Ziebel and Nordic Energy Services and a Director of Sea4 AS. He serves as a Member of Verdane Capital’s Investment Committee.
Martin Bett - Chief Executive Officer
Martin Bett has over 30 years’ oil industry experience working in operational and management positions for Schlumberger, Landmark, I-NET, Trade-Ranger and QinetiQ.
He has established and grown businesses in Europe, USA, South America and Africa, and has a track record for closing large transactions for new and pioneering products and services. He has a BSc in Geophysics from Southampton University, UK, and an MBA with Distinction from the International Institute for Management Development (IMD), Lausanne, Switzerland.
William Ashby - Chief Financial Officer & Commercial Director
Will Ashby has 12 years’ experience in the offshore oil industry working for BP, Trade-Ranger and QinetiQ, including asset commercial management, commercial aspects of bringing new oilfield technologies to market, contract strategy, contract negotiation and raising finance.
He has an MA in Geography from Oxford University, UK and ACCA F1 qualification.
Alan Strudley - Chief Operating Officer & R&D Director
Alan Strudley has 28 years’ oil and gas industry experience working for Shell and Schlumberger.
His responsibilities have included Research, Engineering and Product Development, line management, business development and technical marketing for seismic products and services. He has a BSc in Physics from the University of Manchester, UK, and is an active member of the EAGE and SEG.
Philip Nash - Chief Technology Officer
Phil Nash has 23 years’ experience of fibre-optic sensor development, beginning with deployment in 1986 of the world’s first seabed optical hydrophone array while working for Marconi.
He later held various positions in UK defence research laboratories and QinetiQ, where he pioneered the use of fibre-optic acoustic technology for non-defence applications such as seabed seismic. He has published 35 papers and authored 12 patents. He has a BSc in Physics from Imperial College, London and is a Fellow of the Institute of Physics.
Chris Cottam – Vice-President, Global Sales
Chris Cottam has over 30 years’ industry experience, having held various operational, sales and senior management positions in companies including Scott Pickford, Core Laboratories, ION Geophysical and Paradigm.
He has successfully established global sales and business development organisations focused on meeting the needs of oil company customers and grown several businesses from start-up in the international arena.
He has a BSc in Geology from the University of Leicester, UK and is a member of the EAGE, SEG and SEAPEX. Chris is based in Houston.
Alan Knowlton – Engineering &Supply Chain Director
Alan Knowlton has a wealth of experience in both manufacturing and supply chain management across multiple industry sectors.
Alan has held senior positions in multi-nationals such as Xerox and Umeco in the aerospace industry, where he has taken various new products from the technical development process and successfully delivered to completion complex, full-scale, third-party electro-mechanical production projects on a worldwide basis.
He has a degree in Engineering Design and Technology from Warwick University and is a Chartered Engineer.
Richard Luff - Installation Manager
Richard Luff has more than 30 years’ experience related to fixed, floating and subsea production systems.
He has worked for companies including Kongsberg Subsea, Aker Oil & Gas Technology and Enterprise Oil. Before joining Stingray, he managed technology and field development studies for marginal fields at INTEC Engineering. He has a BSc in Civil Engineering, is a Chartered Engineer and is a Fellow of the Society for Underwater Technology.
Frank Eisenhower - Operations Manager
Frank has over 27 years’ broad international experience with Western Geophysical and Schlumberger spanning R&D, hardware and software engineering, operations and management assignments.
He has specialist expertise in seabed and multi-component acquisition technology, equipment design, manufacture and field operations, together with project management and system integration experience in successful technology developments.
Frank has a BSc in Geological Oceanography from the Florida Institute of Technology and is a member of the EAGE, PDMA and SPE.
